Dr. Townsend has been a licensed barber for 26 years and an instructor for 20 years. In April 2017, Dr. Townsend was awarded the Dr. Maurice Thornton Award by Dr. LaVerne Canada, President of the Virginia State Beauticians Association. He was also elected as a Master Barber Instructor for the VSBA Institute. Dr. Townsend (Kody ) was the former Owner of Kody's Kutz Barber Shop. He opened his first barbershop in 1997, which included four stations. All of which were occupied upon opening. Kody's Kutz grew, which resulted in the business moving to a larger location. In 2001, he became an instructor for the Miracle Barber Academy. Dr. Townsend became the barber for Hargrave Military Academy in 2008.

LaCresha Townsend has honed her expertise as a Licensed Cosmetology instructor and master esthetician instructor. She excels in training and mentoring aspiring professionals in the field. Additionally, she has successfully owned and managed a beauty supply store for three decades, catering to the needs of both professionals and customers alike.
LaCresha's extensive administrative experience spans over 32 years, including 20 years in medical and dental administration. Her proficiency in managing various administrative tasks has contributed to her well-rounded skill set. LaCresha's journey began in Martinsville, VA, where she was born, and she later resided in Greensboro, NC for 20 years.
Beyond her professional endeavors, LaCresha has also explored the travel industry, working as a travel agent. This exposure has further enriched her understanding of customer service and the importance of creating exceptional experiences.

Dr. Cheroyl Murphy
Dr. Murphy is the Dean and Instructor, she has been a licensed Cosmetologist 43 Cosmetology Instructor for 29 years. She is a Master Esthetician and Instructor also teaching nails and waxing. Dr. Murphy was also the co- owner of Miracle Universal Institute for 30 years. Dr. Murphy has taught in multiple states as well as Free port , Bahamas. She travels frequently preparing students for the State Board Exam.
